Light is a wonderful thing

Helps us to sit and stare,

See what’s over there.

It gives us positivity,

Helps us move on.

Food for our eyes,

It’s a Godsend.

However, light has an evil twin.

It’s called darkness.

Like a veil, it shrouds everything.

Everything that’s in its path.

Makes us blind,

Unable to know what we want to know.

As light gives us positivity and motivation,

Dark gives us negativity and devastation.

So, enjoy light and all of its gifts

But beware that figure lurking in the shadows,

The figure of darkness.
