Sunset by Andrew Florescu

Sunset by Andrew Florescu, Form 2P 22.11.15

In the dying hours of the light, when time stands still,

The air going colder.

There is something that is not quite present nor absent,

In the sunset.

In the dying hours of the light, the colours of the rainbow

Unfold themselves in a manner bright,

As the sun is a diving phoenix, its talons red,

In the sunset.

In the dying hours of the light the darkness grows unwatched,

As the light dissipates.

The day is now sinking into night

In the sunset.

In the dying hours of the light the sun is sinking below the horizon,

A drowning ship in the dark sea.

For a moment it glows like nothing seen beforeā€¦then it is gone

In the sunset.

In the first hours of the night, the moon rises,

A beautiful sight.

Pale and ghastly

In the moonlight
