Writer’s Block

 

We have to write a poem

I don’t know what to write,

I have no inspiration

I do not feel that bright.

 

My teacher’s coming checking

To see how I’ve got on,

I’ve written next to nothing,

My brain seems to have gone.

 

A cannot write a couplet

A single rhyming word,

How did those masters do it?

Those men whose work I’ve heard.

 

Oh, I can’t believe it,

Some people, they are done

I cannot write a poem

Oh, look I’ve written one!
