Star
I look up at the faces I do not know, patterns I have not seen,
Their mystical Greek names unknown to me;
Their shining silver eyes burning effortlessly through me
I am like a dot on a planet that those eyes can hardly see,
Yet they are more than dots to me,
They shine bright on a sea of silken navy blue
Dots that only exist in the light that carries their glow,
Yet they are more than more than dots to me
Their twelve hour visibility has its mystical glow,
And maybe there are planets rotating this great star,
But how would I know for this great star is a mere dot to me.

Excellent idea, Alex. I like your use alliteration. See if you can think of an alternative to the repeated use of the word 'mystical' would be my advice.
