Rhyming is hard

Roses are Red,
Violets are Blue.
I cannot rhyme,
And bananas are yellow.

MH370

"Thank you, Good night"
That's the last he said before
They flew away

Into the unknown.

"Thank you, Good night"
That's the last he said before

Families were divided, desperate

For a return, out of the unknown.

"Thank you, Good night"

That's the last he said before

The whole world was interested

In the words of one man.

"Thank you, Good night"

That's the last he said before

Traveller's journey lost their end

and their safe return.

"Thank you, Good night"

That's the last he said before
MH370, a simple number

became a definition.

I Wonder

I wonder what Christmas is like in Africa,

Underneath the boiling sun,

I wonder if Santa comes to Africa,

And if the children all have fun.

I wonder what Christmas is like in Africa,

How they manage with no snow,

And where they plug the fairy lights,

And where the presents go.

I wonder what Christmas is like in Africa

Where so many people are poor,

I wonder if they have something nice to eat,

A turkey? Or even more?

I think that Christmas time in Africa,

For many, must be very sad,

But Christmas is when Jesus was born,

And that's a reason to be glad.
